Shipping has begun for 2010!

If you have placed an order, it will ship according to the estimated ship date that was emailed to you.

For new orders, we will ship as soon as possible based on what plants you order, where you are located, and making sure we do not have your plants in their boxes over the weekend.

We are now offering select plants in our environmentally friendly Elle plugs! No plastic pot, just a biodegradable plug (slightly smaller than our regular potted plants) that you plant directly in the ground.

We have been asked repeatedly, "When will my order ship?" During the warmer months and from late April on, we usually can ship immediately. But what if you "pre"-order in December, or March?

Until now, there was no good way for our system to automatically and accurately give you a ship date. This is due to a number of issues : a) our weather needs to be warm enough for shipping, and weather changes frequently up here in Michigan, b) we are dealing with live plants so therefore growth/size/quality are always changing, c) with the large variety of plants, some varieties are ready to ship before others, making mixed orders a challenge to ship all at once, and d) our customers need to be ready for planting with warm enough temperatures in their area throughout the country.

We could put a ship date on each plant variety within our site like other companies do, however, that would not take into account where the customer is located and if they will be ready at that time. Also, ship dates often change due to the reasons listed above, and even though you saw a specific ship date when you placed your order, that may change even a day later without you knowing.

So, to remedy this, give our customers a bit better timeframe to plan on, and still continue our personal touch of service, we have changed our email notifications. From this time forward, we will try to keep our customers better informed with the following : 1) As before, you will receive a confirmation email when you place your order, stating that we did receive your order and that it went through successfully. 2) Soon after, you will receive a second email with our best estimate on shipping based on the plants you ordered and your location, along with any personal comments worth mentioning. 3) Finally, you will receive an email when your order ships along with a tracking number if interested.
